#1: LinkedIn and Pulse
We know that, in most markets, LinkedIn is a major media channel for SMEs and this move to include more dynamic news on a user’s homepage, provided by LinkedIn’s social news reading app Pulse, has been polarising. It gives LinkedIn more prominence in the mobile space and some see it as a useful addition to provide more tailored and varied content. Others see it as a more cynical ploy to gain more data and keep users on the site for longer – thus aiding advertising revenue.

#2: Digital by default
Not exactly a light read but a strategy and set of guidelines issued by the UK government sets a high standard for designing ‘digital by default’ services. It’s been a round a while but is a great resource for providing the framework for digital development and thinking.
