From classical music composition to digital publishing then founding e-commerce technology developer Ve Interactive, David Brown’s tech career has been anything but predictable.
David Brown is a self-confessed ‘maverick’ serial entrepreneur. He began his career as a professional pianist and composer which led to him co-founding digital publishing business Serious, which he later sold, before co-founding Ve Interactive – a software platform that tracks customer activity on websites, encouraging them to complete their transaction. He’s also involved in a seriously wide range of other businesses including high-end concept store Clerkenwell London.
In this video he tells us how he’s led Ve Interactive to a valuation of £1.2billion in just six years, why he refuses VC funding, how geeky ‘prolificism’ has been a feature throughout his career, and how it feels to top this year’s Tech Track 100 league table (having never before featured on it).
