Who is this cover for?

This insurance is exclusively available to England Golf members and iGolf subscribers and offers topup protection alongside your group membership policy. 

What is Howden’s involvement?

Howden is an insurance intermediary with a long-standing sponsorship arrangement with England Golf. Howden will introduce England Golf customers to Hiscox, who in turn underwrite the insurance. Hiscox will look after you through the quote stage and provide customer service once the policy starts.

How much does it cost?

You can pay £3.95 per month or £47.20 annually.

How can I pay for the policy?

You can pay monthly or annually using Visa or Mastercard (debit or credit card).

When will my cover start?

Your cover starts on the date you choose when getting your quote (up to 30 days in advance).

How do I buy the policy?

Simply get a quote online, review your cover and pay securely. Once your payment is confirmed, you’ll receive your documents by email.

How are payments collected?

When you purchase Golf Insurance on golf.hiscox.co.uk, you authorise us to store your card details and set up a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA). This enables us to collect monthly or annual payments automatically. You can cancel the CPA at any time by calling us on 0808 231 0709 (9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) or by contacting your bank. 

Will my policy renew automatically?

Yes — your policy will renew every 12 months unless you opt out.

Can I cancel my policy?

If for any reason you feel that this policy is not right for you, you can cancel the policy within 14 days of insuring with us. If you have not made a claim, we will return your premium in full. You can cancel the policy by notifying us at any time. 

If you cancel after the first 14 days and have not made a claim, we will return a pro-rata proportion of your premium. To cancel your policy, please call 0808 231 0709 (9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) or send an email to [email protected]. We will need your first name, last name, date of birth and policy reference number.

What happens if a payment fails?

We’ll try to collect the payment again automatically. If we’re unable to collect it after several attempts, your policy may be cancelled and cover will end.

Changing your personal details

Call us on 0808 231 0709 (9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) and we’ll update your details for you.

Making a claim

If you need to make a claim, you can call us on 0808 231 0709 (9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). Claims team opening hours 9.00am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday. If you wish to make a claim online, you can log most claims quickly and easily through our claims notification portal at https://claims.hiscox.co.uk/

You will need to provide your full name and contact details, your address and postcode, the policy reference and circumstances of the claim.

Outside of normal business hours, if you require emergency assistance in relation to substantial damage to your property, you can speak to our 24-hour emergency assistance team using the telephone number above. Your policy schedule will state if property cover is included in your policy.
