  • Lump sum payment to the business, up to £100,000 if an employee sustains a physical injury as a result of an accident, either within or outside working hours, which results in their death or permanent disablement
  • Weekly payment to the business, up to £1,000 if an employee sustains a physical injury as a result of an accident, either within or outside working hours, or suffers an illness which results in their temporary disablement
  • Employee continuity cover – up to £10,000 for recruitment expenses. Employers can choose an existing recruiter or our preferred partner
  • Workplace alteration – up to £5,000 to make adjustments to the affected person's workplace following their permanent disablement
  • Retraining budget – up to £10,000 to retrain the affected person for an alternative occupation if they cannot continue their former job
  • Commuting expenses – up to £10,000 for the cost of transporting the affected person from their normal residence to their place of work if they are unable to use their normal means of transportation
  • Funeral expenses –up to £5,000 to cover funeral costs. This would also cover repatriation costs if required

How to arrange cover for your client


You will need to tell us:

  • how many employees they wish to insure
  • what their business does and whether any employees carry out any manual work (in particular, any work at height or depth, in hazardous locations or involving heavy machinery)
  • what level of cover they would like (capital and weekly benefit amounts)
  • how long they would like weekly benefit cover for (generally 52 or 104 weeks)
  • when they want cover to apply (occupational only, occupation including commuting or 24 hours)
  • whether they want illness cover included
