If you decide to access any web site other than the Site you do so entirely at your own risk.
7.7 Hiscox Underwriting Limited is part of the Hiscox plc Group. Other Hiscox web sites (whether or not expressly linked to from the Site) may contain terms and conditions that are different from these terms and conditions. 8 Suspension and termination of Service
8.1 Hiscox may suspend the operation of the Site at any time, for example for repair or maintenance work or in order to update or upgrade the contents or functionality of the Site from time to time. Access to or use of the Site or any Sites or pages linked to it will not necessarily be uninterrupted or error free.

9 Sales of Insurance Products
9.1 Policies are underwritten by Hiscox Underwriting Ltd on behalf of certain syndicates at Lloyd's (managed by Hiscox Syndicates Ltd) and/ or Hiscox Insurance Company Ltd. Hiscox Underwriting Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Hiscox Syndicates Ltd and Hiscox Insurance Company Ltd are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority. Please refer to your policy schedule for full details.
9.2 All statements made by you or information provided by you at the proposal stage are your responsibility. If you fail to disclose any relevant information or provide any inaccurate information, this may invalidate your insurance policy.
9.3 Once you have submitted a proposal for insurance via this Site, the proposal will not be accepted (and you will not insured) until such time as you receive confirmation from Hiscox that this is the case. This confirmation may be through the Site or by email, telephone or post.
9.4 The decision as to whether to offer you insurance cover is at Hiscox’s discretion and they are not bound to do so.
9.5 In assessing whether or not to offer insurance cover in response to proposals submitted via this Site, Hiscox will not refuse the proposal concerned solely on the basis of processing data by automatic means. If the effect of any automated decision making process is not to accept the proposal, then the proposal is referred to a non-automated decision making process conducted by Hiscox or on Hiscox’s behalf.
9.6 The above referral process does not apply where a proposal is automatically refused because the type of cover requested is not offered by Hiscox through this website, for example where the level of cover requested falls below the minimum level of cover available through this website. This type of automatic refusal is based on the parameters set for the insurance products available through this website.
9.7 Once insurance has been effected by Hiscox, Hiscox will provide you with prompt written confirmation, through the website and/or by e-mail, that this is the case. Hiscox will also advise you in writing of the relevant insurance premium and any fees or charges which are payable, as well as the purpose of any related services.
9.8 Hiscox will notify you of any changes to the terms and conditions of your insurance policy and will give reasonable notice for any changes which are due to take effect.
9.9 You should keep a copy of all information submitted to or received from Hiscox for your records.
9.10 Hiscox will use their best endeavours to reply promptly to all correspondence. Such replies may be by email or in writing.

11 General and governing law
Hiscox may change these terms and conditions from time to time and will endeavour to notify you of any major changes by posting a message on the Site. However, by browsing the Site you are accepting that you are bound by the current terms and conditions. You should check these each time you revisit the Site. Hiscox may delay enforcing its rights under these terms and conditions without losing them. You agree that Hiscox may sub-contract the performance of any of its obligations or may assign these terms and conditions or any of its rights or obligations without giving you notice. 13 Disclaimer
13.1 All information provided as part of the Site is intended to be general in nature and you should not rely on it in connection with any security or other decision. Hiscox is not liable for any action you may take as a result of relying on such information or for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of you taking this action.

Accordingly, you must ensure that you take all steps needed to renew the policy on time and Hiscox shall not be liable for any alleged loss or damage as a result of a failure to do so.
14 Contracts (Rights of Third Parties Act) 1999
These terms and conditions are for the benefit of Hiscox (as defined above) and they may rely on them and may enforce the provisions of these Terms and Conditions subject to and in accordance with the provisions of the Terms and Conditions and the following conditions: (i) the parties may rescind, vary or terminate these Terms and Conditions without the consent of any members of the Hiscox plc group and (ii) the rights granted to any member the Hiscox plc group under this clause 14 may not be assigned or transferred without the consent of Hiscox.
